Grand Designs Australia magazine beats Belle, Real Living and Inside Out in latest independent IPSOS EMMA readership poll for both quantity and quality of audience
Grand Designs Australia magazine has well and truly become the voice of design in Australia, surging ahead of other home magazines for the audiences that matter in the latest IPSOS EMMA figures. Grand Designs Australia magazine now offers:
- -MORE households with incomes of $120K+ than Belle, Inside Out and Real Living.
- -MORE socio-economic AB than Belle, Inside Out and Real Living.
- -MORE managers, professionals and tech/trades than Belle, Inside Out and Real Living.
- -MORE tertiary-educated readers than Belle.
- -MORE employed people than Belle, Inside Out and Real Living.
Aside from the great-quality metrics, Grand Designs Australia offers MORE READERS than the other publications. Grand Designs Australia is now on 249,000 Average Issue Readership for the December, 2017, EMMA release – that’s a 38% increase in 11 months.
This means Grand Designs Australia now offers:
- 134% of the readership of Real Living (on 186,000)
- 137% of the readership of Inside Out (on 181,000)
- 156% of the readership of Belle (on 159,000).
“We are pleased to see Grand Designs Australia magazine outperform these competitors on socio-economic factors as well as total readership,” said Publisher Janice Williams. “Grand Designs Australia targets an audience of people with projects, so we would not normally expect it to reach the wider audiences of the more lifestyle-oriented publications – but it has delivered these results while retaining its focus. Using industry data, we estimate the number of substantial home project starts in Australia to equate to 110,000 per month; striking this market is the focus of our home group.
“In 2018 the publication will continue to retain its focus on homes and home projects,” continued Ms Williams. “We aim to produce publications that offer content that is useful to someone researching an impending upmarket home project; this audience wants floorplans, inclusions, and a level of design commentary that you don’t get in other publications.”
