Any day of the week Universal Media Co team members are in multiple locations across the country shooting anything from new homes, to events, to founder interviews to high-speed dirt bike action.
Our video offering is unique in that we offer both a production solution, as well as a distribution solution. Videos have to reach lots of people to win over new customers.
Business Videos should be placed not just on owed media such as the company website and socials, but distributed via other platforms, media websites, media social channels, and programmatically, for years to come to keep the pipeline warm and informed. Each piece should reassure current customers and keep winning new ones.
When creating video content, we like to collaborate with our partners to understand the overall strategy of the organisation and shoot to purpose.
We collaborate on tone, narratives, talent, and deliverables until we are sure that we have something that will serve the purpose of the business in a commercial context.

Part of a PR campaign for Honda
The dirt bike community is rough and ready, and likes its video content to capture the excitement of the sport but to deliver more i.e. go behind the scenes. This example shows the brand embedded within the sport, and draws upon the media brands connection to the leaders of the sport to bring that story to life. Branding is subtle but positions the client as a leader.
First Person Builder Project Story
Part of a program for Husqvarna
Husqvarna wanted to get closer to landscapers so we embedded them in to a whole marketing program of which a video was a part. Landscapers like to see the work of other landscapers and especially like to see the person behind the project talk about it in their own voice. This creates an authenticity that resonates to the target audience.
Product Review
For Beta
The talent in this case our own Editor Grant “Gobba” O’Brien and friend putting a new bike through its paces in real life on the track. This shoot needed authenticity to be credible to the target audience, and therefore involved an actual on track test of the product.
First Person Creator Project Story
This video takes a tour of a garden with first person narrative and walk through from two home gardeners. It is one of many stories shot during an editorial visit, which are subsequently kept in our library for deployment when a partner wishes to do launch a campaign that positions their brand as part of a scene of gardeners who are doing interesting projects.
